Agreement to These Terms

These Terms govern your use of TrainWords, a vocabulary-learning service that provides word tracking, practice, progress, and leaderboard features. By creating an account, using TrainWords, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility and Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to use TrainWords. If you are not old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live, you need permission from a parent or legal guardian.
• You must provide accurate information and keep access to your sign-in email or Google account secure.
• Your account is personal to you. Do not sell, transfer, or share access to it.
• You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly notify us of unauthorized access.

Free and Paid Access

TrainWords may offer limited free access and paid monthly or yearly subscriptions. Features, limits, and prices are shown on the pricing and checkout pages before purchase.

We may change features or prices in the future. Price changes apply prospectively and, where required, we will provide notice before they affect an existing subscription.

Billing and Automatic Renewal

• Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the selected monthly or yearly interval until cancelled, unless checkout states otherwise.
• Dodo Payments acts as the merchant of record and authorized reseller for purchases. It processes checkout, payment methods, applicable taxes, invoices, renewals, refunds, and payment disputes.
• The final price, currency, taxes, and billing interval are displayed at checkout. By completing checkout, you also agree to the buyer terms presented by Dodo Payments.
• You authorize Dodo Payments to charge your selected payment method for the initial purchase and each renewal until cancellation.

Cancellation and Refunds

You can cancel an active subscription through the Manage Billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; unless otherwise required by law or stated at cancellation, paid access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Cancellation does not automatically refund a completed charge. Refund eligibility and instructions are described in our Refund Policy. Mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live are not limited by these Terms.

Your Content and Public Features

You keep ownership of text and information you submit. You give TrainWords a limited permission to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the service.

Leaderboard information and, when you enable it, practice history may be visible to other users or the public. You are responsible for avoiding sensitive, confidential, illegal, or third-party personal information in content you submit for public display.

Acceptable Use

You may not:

• Break the law or infringe another person's rights
• Attempt to bypass access controls, subscription limits, or security protections
• Interfere with the service, introduce malicious code, or access accounts without permission
• Use automated systems in a way that overloads, scrapes, copies, or disrupts TrainWords
• Redistribute TrainWords content or use it commercially without permission
• Manipulate learning statistics, leaderboard rankings, payments, refunds, or account status

Service Availability and Changes

We aim to keep TrainWords reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may maintain, update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features or the service. If a material change affects an active paid subscription, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice or an appropriate remedy where required by law.

Suspension and Termination

You may stop using TrainWords or delete your account at any time. We may restrict or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, abuse the service, or fail to pay applicable charges. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Disclaimers and Liability

TrainWords is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. It is an educational tool and does not guarantee a particular learning result.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TrainWords is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for lost data, profits, or opportunities resulting from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when TrainWords, our business practices, or legal requirements change. We will update the date below and provide additional notice when a change is significant. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them, where permitted by law.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia (the country), without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts with jurisdiction in Georgia will have jurisdiction over disputes, except where the mandatory consumer laws of your country give you the right to bring a claim elsewhere or provide protections that cannot be waived. Before filing a formal claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue directly.
